DRAFT 2010
The SPL Draft is a live draft which commences on SEPTEMBER 5, 2011, 9:00 pm EST. There will be 14 rounds, with a limit of 90 seconds per pick. If an Owner does not submit a pick before the time limit expires, the "draft robot" automatically makes a pick for that Owner. The draft robot picks first from the top player listed in the Owner's "Draft Queue," then from the "Rank List" when the Queue becomes empty. During the Draft, each Owner gets one "Time Out" during the Draft.
Time Out:(2) At any point, an Owner may type in "TIME OUT" into the chat box to request a stoppage in the Draft. The main purpose of this is if your computer or connection is experiencing technical difficulty, NOT to give you additional time with a pick.
Franchise Players/Keeper:(1) Each team may select a "Franchise Player" from the previous year's final roster [Week 16 roster]. To do so, go to your "Team Lineup," and select the "Keeper" box next to the player's name. The Franchise Player takes the place of your draft pick in the same round where the player was selected in the previous season's draft.(7) This is their "Draft Value." (e.g., if he was last drafted in '07 in the 4th round, he will be added to your lineup before the Draft, and your 4th round pick will be skipped during the Draft.) You must select your Franchise Player on the Lineup Page by September 3rd, 2011 at 11:59 pm EST. On September 4, 2011, all rosters will be cleared in preparation of the Draft.
Trading of Draft Picks(6) is available for all Owners from the period after the Franchise Player deadline up to, and during, the SPL Draft. There is no waiting period or commissioner approval required during this time period. Any accepted trades prior to the end of the Draft are immediately effective. If a Franchise Player is traded for draft picks, the traded player will take the place of their Draft Value in the appropriate round on their new team.
Draft Order is set based on the Win-Loss record of each team from the previous year.
Draft Spots 1 thru 8 are determined strictly on Record. If teams have identical records, the team with the least amount of Total Points from the previous year gets the higher draft position. Draft Spots 9 & 10 are reserved for the loser of the Week 15 playoff games. Lower record between the two gets spot 9. Draft Spot 11 is reserved for the Loser of the Championship Game, and spot 12 is reserved for our League Champion. Here is the Draft Order based on last year's results:
LINEUPS
The status of any player can be changed up until 5 minutes before game time for that player. For example, if one of your quarterbacks is playing on Sunday night and the other one is playing Monday night you can switch which one is Active for the week and which one is Reserve up until 5 minutes before Sunday night's game. But once Sunday night's game begins the status of the QB in Sunday's game is locked, and you probably won't be able to change the status of the QB in Monday's game. Once a player's game begins, his status is locked and unalterable.

TRANSACTIONS
Add/Drops are handled by a waivers process. The waivers process starts on Tuesday morning and ends Saturday night. The waiver order resets after each weeks' games. Dropped players remain on waivers for at least 1 day(s). Limit of 20 waiver claims per period. Adds and drops are handled by a waivers process.
Trades may be made at any time. Trades are subject to a 1-day voting period, where at most 2 objections are allowed. Trades receiving 3 or more objections are sent to the Commissioner for approval. Trade Deadline is Week 9, 8:00 PM ET 11/11/11 before the start of the first game. No trades can be made after that time, and no trades are allowed in the offseason.(9)
